Mayor John Street!!!!!

ok so mayor john street came to temple university yesterday to talk to the teens in the itsrg program. He first started off with a game of luck. we had to write our names on a piece of paper and put it in a hat. what he did was draw a name from the hat and that person got a prize. The prizes were either money or an item that he owned. later on after each game he gave us an explanation behind the game and words of advice and encouragement.

i assume the reasons behind this was to teach us lessons. the first game was about luck and he explained that we cannot depend on luck to live in the real world. The next game was a contest to see who could hold their breath the longest. in this game he explained that not everyone was meant to win their would only be one winner in any contest. the moral of that was not everyone can have the same job and opportunities. the last game was who could who could not laugh for five minutes with a straight face. the moral of this one was to keep focus on one thing and do not get distracted.

by his visit and the way Mr.street taught what he did inspired me more to strive for the best and reach my goals. on of his quotes was" Every man or woman will not stop to throw stones at every barking dog". that is the one thing i actually will remember along with his humility. He's a funny guy!

With that i want to share everything i have and will discover with all the world.

Goals!!!!!!!!!!!

What are Goals?- Goals are objectives you want to accomplish in a certain amount of time, whether it be long term or short term.
How would you feel if you accomplish your goals?- If i accomplished my goals I would feel like I own the world, and also I would feel successful. It may feel like I have pressure released off of my shoulders. Also if I accomplished my goals i will be able to offer everything i learned and teach it to those who want to!
How would you feel if you failed?- If i failed my goals I would feel like a loser however I would keep trying until I am successful and reached my goals. I was taught to never give up with out a fight and the thing is even if i didn't fight i still would not give up!

Summer Goal
I have a few summer goals. One goal is to complete the B.I.T.S program and get work experience from it. Also I want to learn everything they have to offer for me to learn. My second goal for the summer is to accomplish my summer dance intensive with Philadanco and get all the technique they offer, and to have a straddle by August 13th. Post-Secondary EDU!

There are three post-econdary edu. that i want to go to.They are college, army, and get a job. The colleges I want to go to are University of the Arts, Juilliard, and Fordham University. In the Army i want to work with the air force. Lastly as a job I want to just find something that will let me make money but after college the job I want to is to be a choreographer! If me being a choreographer/dancer does not work out I would look into the science area and become a scientist. The type of science I like is chemistry and biology. Therefore I'd want to be a chemist or biologist. And with me being a scientist i want to try and create new and safer chemicals for our planet and different sources we could use.
F.Y.I the search engines were not helpful to me because i already knew what colleges i want to apply for!
